Altus products are internationally recognized for their high performance and reliability. Many of the programmable controllers launched by the company in previous years continue to support the operations of various industries. Discover the legacy PLC models that Altus still supports today.
Modular architecture to simplify design, assembly and commissioning steps
Hot swap and advanced system diagnostics to keep your application going
High availability and reliability for safety-critical systems
Wide range of I/O modules and support for different fieldbus standards
The Ponto Series processing units offer high functional integration, online programming, and extensive memory capacity. Using WebPLC technology and Ethernet connections, Ponto CPUs allow you to access system diagnostics, monitor, and control your application from anywhere via the internet.
These units also feature hot-swapping, asset management, CE marking, support for redundant field heads, intelligent maintenance that allows module replacement without disconnecting wiring, and support for PROFIBUS-DP and HART protocols.
With a wide range of I/O modules and flexible architecture, Ponto Series programmable controllers are ideal for medium and large distributed control systems.
The I/O modules and field network heads can be used with CPUs from Altus or other manufacturers. The arrangement of terminals and individual fuses per channel simplifies project design, assembly, and control panel commissioning. Maintenance is further streamlined by comprehensive diagnostics and the ability to hot-swap all modules.
With high processing speed, modular architecture, and low cost, the FBs Series programmable controllers offer an excellent balance of performance and affordability for small and medium-sized automation projects. Its internal architecture is based on SoC (System on Chip) technology, where all the controller’s hardware is integrated into a single chip. The various processing units and I/O modules provide the configuration flexibility needed to automate your system.
The CPUs are available in three categories: MA (Economy), MC (Standard), and MN (Motion Control). All models support up to 512 digital I/O points and 128 analog I/O points, and they feature MODBUS RTU and MODBUS TCP communication protocols. With up to five communication ports—the highest number in its class—each port comes with built-in LEDs for monitoring data transmission and reception status.
Thanks to a wide variety of modules, FBs PLCs are a versatile solution for small-scale automation systems that demand high processing speeds, modularity, and cost-effectiveness. In addition to the traditional digital and analog I/O modules, the series offers specialized modules, including options for scale reading, CANopen expansion, Ethernet and serial communication, and thermocouple types J, K, R, S, E, T, B, N, and PT100/PT1000.
The Duo series of Altus programmable controllers comes with an integrated Human-Machine Interface (HMI). Compact and high-performing, Duo PLCs are ideal for systems requiring both control and supervision in a single device. With a powerful CPU and digital and analog processing capabilities, Duo controllers provide a cost-effective solution for small and medium-sized applications.
The Duo PLC can be used for both stand-alone applications and in distributed networks, as it comes with two serial ports—RS-232 and RS-485. It supports the MODBUS-RTU protocol (master or slave) and can accommodate generic protocols through the specific functions available in the programming software.
Duo controllers are a reliable and affordable solution for small to medium-sized applications, combining a powerful CPU with digital and analog processing software. Featuring 42 I/O points, an intuitive 3.2" graphic display, and 25 keys—7 of which are dedicated function softkeys—these controllers offer flexibility and ease of use.
Digital inputs and fast outputs can be configured for various tasks, including bidirectional and unidirectional counters, PTO, and PWM/Frequency control. The analog inputs and outputs provide 12-bit resolution and can be adjusted for different value ranges, meeting a wide variety of control needs. With two communication ports (RS-232 and RS-485) and native support for ModBus master and slave protocols, Duo controllers offer efficient integration into automation systems.
The Duo also allows for customized layouts to match your machine or company branding. The device overlay can be personalized with your logo and colors, as long as the mechanics and button layout remain unchanged.
