With over 40 years in the national machinery market, Selovac has invested in technologies that provide savings and high productivity to the production line of customers who use its equipment. To ensure the best performance for its products, the São Paulo-based manufacturer looked to Altus for the technology and engineering intelligence necessary to create a precision solution with total harmony between software and hardware. The result was the launch of the company's new batch of thermoforming machines, built in conjunction with the Altus OEM team and which will be applied in the production process of one of the main metalworking companies in Brazil.
The control and movement system developed for the new machines uses the high technology of Nexto Xpress, a line of compact PLCs ready to meet the demands of Industry 4.0, together with Optidrive E3 frequency inverters, products that provide precise control over motors and significant energy savings. Supervision is provided by IHM X2 Base, a device that delivers efficiency and high performance for small and medium-sized machines and applications. In fact, communication between the IHM and the software developed by Altus' OEM team was one of the highlights mentioned by Willy Borst, Director of Selovac.
Service and know-how that make the difference
According to Willy, Altus' mastery of the technology applied and the total integration between the equipment considerably increased the speed of the machine, which began producing an average of 4,500 units per hour. “When we decided to use Altus equipment with graphical HMIs, a new feature on our machines, we showed our customers how they facilitated interaction with the equipment, which ended up boosting sales of our products,” he comments.
The company director also highlighted the relationship with Altus and the availability of the company's specialists as one of the determining factors for the success of this project: “they are always available, there is no bad weather”, says Willy.
