Sabesp Santos OCC

Supervision and Control Integration

To streamline the management of sewage collection and water supply processes, Sabesp Santos established a Command and Operations Center (CCO) in the city center. From this hub, the team has access to coastal production and supply systems. The CCO enables strategic decision-making and operational management for the entire supply chain, using data collected, processed, and delivered through Altus technology.

Para facilitar a gestão dos processos de coleta de esgoto e fornecimento de água, a Sabesp Santos criou um CCO (Centro de Comando e Operações) que fica no centro da cidade. Nesse local, há acesso a produção e abastecimento do litoral. Do CCO é possível tomar decisões estratégicas e definir operações sobre toda a logística de abastecimento, tudo com os dados coletados, tratados e fornecidos através da tecnologia Altus.

Com grande potencial tecnológico, ela é capaz de comandar grandes números de pontos de E/S e de comunicação, além de controlar de forma distribuída projetos como o tratamento e bombeamento do esgoto em qualquer localidade do litoral de São Paulo.

The controllers support communication with a wide range of devices and supervisory software. The use of open protocols is essential to ensure compatibility and integration with various systems. For instance, the MODBUS/TCP protocol operates as both a client and server within the CPUs.

It also gives access to equipment diagnostics, simplifying issue identification and supporting scheduled equipment rotation.

Para esta operação foram utilizadas duas unidades NX3020, com aproximadamente 200 CPUs ligadas, totalizando mais 6.000 pontos de comunicação. Neste projeto, também foram desenvolvidas lógicas que possibilitaram a realização de ¬litros nos comandos entre as CPUs ligadas na Série NX e no sistema supervisório que controla o processo. Isso evita que alguma interferência no meio físico altere algum comando de saída do supervisório até chegar à remota.

Additionally, the CPUs, equipped with dual independent Ethernet interfaces, isolate the supervisory software from the company’s corporate network, reducing the risk of system vulnerabilities from potential viruses. Another key advantage of this project was the product’s compact design, which allowed for quick adaptation to the existing panels at the CCO without taking up too much space.
